The Busy Bees Team

Stella Richardson - Pre-school Manager

I started working at Busy Bees in 1994 when my youngest son began primary school; working with pre-school children was something I had always wanted to do having trained in early years after leaving school.
Despite the responsibility of being manager of Busy Bees I feel it is an extremely fulfilling and rewarding position, and consider everyone I work with to be a friend and not just a staff member, to me that's what makes Busy Bees the warm and welcoming place it is, like one big happy family.
Planning for practical activities that give the children opportunities to experience real life, hands on learning is the most fun aspect of my job, such as: hatching ducklings as part of our life cycles topic and planting bulbs and taking the children on nature walks when talking about Autumn.
Amanda Carr- Pre-school Deputy Manager/SENCO

I learned first hand about the wonderful experiences that each child encounters at Busy Bees when my own two children attended the group.
It then became an exciting proposition to become part of the Busy Bees team, which I joined in September of 2000. Working now as the groups SENCO is a challenging job that I thoroughly enjoy as each child's small steps reaps great rewards. I still look forward to the start of every working day, as Busy Bees is such a happy and enjoyable place to be.
Having developed a Maths program for Busy Bees I have supported other staff members in the delivery of the activities which have become a great success. Staff development is a very fulfilling part of my job.
Clair Buxton - Pre-school Play Leader

I began working for Busy Bees in September 2002 when I was offered a training position so I could gain the qualification I needed to do a job I love. I was supported throughout my training by the strong, established staff team and feel the friendly and inviting atmosphere is evident to all who come to Busy Bees. One of my favourite responsibilities each week is developing the SALLEY (Structured Activities for Language and Literacy in the Early Years) program which my four year olds enthusiastically participate in.
Rachel Pearson - Pre-school Play Leader

I have had connections with Busy Bees since 1998 when my eldest son attended toddlers. I became part of the staff team in April 2002 working just two sessions to begin with and as my children are getting older, I now work four and a half days each week.
Busy Bees is a fantastic place to work. Both of my children attended so I know that any child coming to the group will have the best possible pre-school start in life - to be part of this environment couldn't be more rewarding.
I really enjoy delivering our Healthy Eating plan at Busy Bees like making fruit salad, growing our own vegetables and baking seedy breads with the children for snack time, ensuring they are learning healthy eating habits for life, whilst having fun.
